How to Choose a Network Marketing Company
So we have talked briefly about the good and bad in Network Marketing, so you know that its super important to be very careful when choosing a company to join. So how do you do that?
First off and probably the easiest question to ask yourself is what do you like? There are Network Marketing companies in so many different industries these days you are sure to find something that fits your lifestyle. Do you like clothing? Health and wellness? Kids books? What's your passion? Remember the best way to sell a product is to be passionate about it, there's no point selling make up if, like me, you never wear the stuff.
So now you have chosen the sector you want to work in, do a bit of research. Trust me, whatever you niche is there will be more than one company selling products within it. The tricky part is deciding which one is the right fit for you. There are many things to consider here so I thought I would list a few:

So now you have chosen the sector you want to work in, do a bit of research. Trust me, whatever you niche is there will be more than one company selling products within it. The tricky part is deciding which one is the right fit for you. There are many things to consider here so I thought I would list a few:
Product
Remember, in genuine Network Marketing companies the product is always the most important thing. So do the companies you are looking at actually have good products? Can you maybe order one or two things online to see what they are like? are they affordable? Would you pay the retail price for the product? Trust me if you wouldn't pay the retail price for it, you will never be able to talk someone else into doing so.
Commission
The term used most often in Network Marketing is 'Marketing Plan' to describe how you will be paid. Every company has slightly different variations on how the system of MLM will work. Put simply you will earn a certain percentage from each product you sell - this part of the marketing plan is really the most important, because selling products is the most important thing! You will then earn set amounts for recruiting - this is vastly different in each company. Some companies you will get a bonus for each sign up and a percentage of each sale they make, some you will only get the percentage and others you will need to reach a certain level within the marketing plan before you get credit for team sales. The marketing plan is the promotion ladder, you will achieve promotions by reaching targets, either on your own or you and your team. It's often dressed up to look complicated, but it usually isn't if you break it down. You should compare the marketing plans of each company you are considering and factor this into your decision making.
Training
Most, if not all Network Marketing companies will offer training, in fact if they don't I would consider another option. What sort of training does each company you are considering offer? Now of course you want product training, but there is way more to running a business than selling products. Do they offer mindset training (this is way more important that you will realise at this stage, in fact right now you probably think mindset is total rubbish - it's not, it will change your life, you just don't know it yet) do they offer training on different marketing methods? How about things like doing your accounts? The general day to day running of a business type stuff? your company should want you to be successful in every aspect of your business because if you cant stay in business, you stop making them money at the end of the day. If they are unwilling to help you in these ways, you may wish to consider someone who will.
Reviews
The internet is wonderful, you can find reviews on just about anything these days. Check product reviews, see what real people say about the companies products rather than looking on the company website. There are also loads of websites out there that discuss Network Marketing companies and you will probably be able to find testimonials from people who have worked with just about every company in existence. Remember though that people are more likely to leave negative reviews if they had a bad experience than leave a positive one if their experience was good, and many people will be trying to make their 'laptop lifestyle' look amazing so you join their team. What I am saying is that its important to read reviews, but try to find unbiased ones, and take them with a pinch of salt if they sound too positive or too negative, read and compare lots till you get an overall feel.
The people
This is the hardest part really but you need to get an idea of what the people are like. If you join someone's team you are potentially going to be working alongside them for a long time, you need to know you can get on with them, and that they will do what they are supposed to do by helping and supporting you with your new business for years to come. Its especially difficult if you are answering an ad online which lets face it is how most of us meet our future upline. At the very least have a few conversations with them before signing up. Do you get on with them? do they seem genuine? are they promising things you suspect they cant deliver? do they seem interested in you, or only interested in the fact that you might sign up to their team? these are just some of the questions you should be asking yourself before you commit.
There you have it, a brief version of things you should consider when trying to choose a Network Marketing company.
